GET INVOLVED

Who we are

IGNITE Youth Organisation is dedicated to unleashing the innovative and creative power of young people to shape development.

We do this through 6 holistic Programs that build their entrepreneurial, innovative, leadership and creative skills, and help them to gain self-esteem and self sustaining habits for life. Our Programs are also designed to help young people think critically and innovatively about how they can contribute solutions to the problems their communities face. We support young people from a variety of backgrounds, including young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and teen moms.

We help them to rise above their challenges, begin to think like overcomers and not victims.

The 6 Programs we run are IGNITE Creativity, IGNITE Influencers, IGNITE Hope, IGNITE Girls, IGNITE Lifeline and IGNITE Sports. The Lifeline Program was created in response to rising rates of suicide and addiction spurred on by the tough economic challenges most African youth face as they transition from their teenage into adulthood. We help youth develop their emotional intelligence through tools that deal with depression, challenges and set-backs in their young adulthood.

IGNITE draws together a network of local and international organisations, youth leaders, religious organisations, schools, groups, professionals and individuals who share a common vision to empower young Africans.
