On the 21st of January 2023, the Ignite Youth Organization Leaders Team gathered together for the annual leadership orientation. The orientation was aimed at introducing new members, reflecting on the work done in 2022, and mapping forward for 2023. The event was facilitated by Abel Muparadzi, the Ignite Human Resources and Chief Operations Director, and was graced by the presence of Tadzie Madzima, the Founder and Director of the organization.
The opening remarks were delivered by Tadzie Madzima, as she went on to outline the structures of the organization from the executive board of directors, directors, administration team, task force, leadership, and general members. Tadzie continued on to divulge the background of the organization, bringing the young leaders up to date with the progress made by the organization, the milestones reached and those yet to be attained.

Tadiwanashe Mandiveyi, the Gentlemen of Purpose Research Officer kept each leader on high alert with his ice breakers and team activities, testing the leader’s awareness of current news and general knowledge teasers that were centered on Zimbabwean affairs. The platform was then opened up to the young leaders to express their thoughts and opinions. Each leader was tasked with reflection on what they felt their different programs did right the previous year, the failures, and areas that need improving in 2023. Leaders also reflected on their individual growth from the beginning of their terms as leaders to date, each leader set self-development goals as well as what they expected to gain from the organization.
The facilitator rounded off the event by highlighting the key results areas that each leader was expected to fully commit to as well as promote. Thereby marking the end of the event and the start of a prosperous 2023 Ignite Youth Organization Leadership team. We look forward to seeing what this team will bring forth in order to further the mission and vision of the organization.
