More than 10 NGOs were present, including but not limited to, Ignite Youth, Young People Mental Health Trust, Ruvheneko, Ndinewe, Tree of Life, Angels Palace and Miracle Missions. The program started off with Meet and Greet in the presence of a warm bonfire, which created a lovely ambience as organizations introduced themselves. The Ignite Youth team ‘broke the ice’ through an engaging war cry and communal games, which made everyone comfortable and ready to converse. The next day began early morning with stretching and meditation practices led by Ruvheneko. Organizations presented on their mission and activities throughout the course of the day, which was coupled with Q & A sessions. The main points of discussion were the successes of the organizations and their failures, and ways to mitigate that. From observation, it was noted that many organizations were struggling with funding and creating sustainable funding lines, hence there is need to develop frameworks to assist with this. Organizations were also presented with the opportunity to collaborate, as it was noted that each organization had something to bring to the proverbial table.
