The first level of the Purpose Curriculum, the Voyager level, was completed in July 2023. The certification ceremony was held in the National Art Gallery, Afrotopia Cafe in Harare. The event was themed “African Pride”, hence the attendees were required to wear African prints. The ceremony was graced by a great panelist such as Mr Sungano Chisina, the Director of Zimbabwe Youth Council, Pastor Tinashe from HigherLife Foundation, Mr Artwell Nyarienda from Dialogue on Shelter, Mr Ben Juru from the United States Embassy and the Director of Curriculum and Leadership Development for Ignite Rudorwashe Mhiti. The MC’s of the day were Tinashe Takarwa and Vimbai Kaseke.
Certificates were given to those that had managed to complete the Voyager level of the purpose curriculum. The first stage included discovering what purpose is, how to discover one’s purpose, creating a purpose board, essential and hard skills training.
Sean Savieri, Ruvarashe Kavhaza and Tinashe Takarwa gave testimonials on the impact Ignite has made in their lives as well as Mrs Taruona on behalf of her daughter Shammah Taruona who has been a long standing member of Ignite.
