On the 14th of March, Marchwood Senior School transformed into a hub of inspiration and empowerment as Ignite Youth Organization hosted its much-anticipated Career Guidance Day. The event successfully reached out to over 650 students, providing them with vital information and insights into various career paths. The day was packed with interactive sessions and an electrifying performance that left the audience buzzing with enthusiasm.
The event kicked off with greetings from Ignite Youth Organization’s founder, Tadzie Madzima who served as the main speaker. With her infectious energy and passion for youth empowerment, Tadzie welcomed students and staff, introducing her vision for Ignite Youth Organization. She emphasized the importance of career guidance by engaging students with thought-provoking questions about their understanding of the concept. She asked how many students knew what career guidance is and how many had received it. Surprisingly, only a few hands went up, indicating a significant lack of career guidance in schools.
Diving deeper into the core of career guidance, the Ignite Youth Founder spoke passionately about the importance of pursuing one’s purpose. She urged students to identify their passions and align them with their career aspirations. “Success is not merely about what you achieve but about how passionately you pursue your purpose,” she explained. Following the Founder’s inspiring address, Karen, the Programs Officer, took the stage to address the reality of expectations concerning career paths.
